- St. Louis City Hospital, built in 1846 on this lot, burned in 1856, was rebuilt, and was destroyed again by the 1896 cyclone. The building standing now was constructed in 1907. It closed in 1985, sitting vacant for nearly 2 decades. It opened as a condo development in 2006.
